As much as batteries drive us mental when they run out or go missing, they are still an amazing invention which allows us to do things more effectively and efficiently.
There are thousands of products out there that are battery powered. Some you will probably never even hear of, others you probably use every day of your life.
Well to show you just how important batteries are we have come up with the top five battery powered products you can’t live without.
Remote Control
The gadget of all gadgets. This little battery powered product allows you sit in one place all night and watch whatever you want. However, in the hands of the wrong person this can be fatal and you will most likely wish you could send all the batteries off to a scrap batteries firm so they don’t get to use the remote at all.
Portable radio/iPod dock
There is nothing like a bit of music while having a picnic in the park or a late night party on the beach. Yes without our little battery friends we would be silently making our way home after a good night out when instead you will want to be dancing the night away.
Torch
Stranded in the middle of the woods, its pitch black and you can’t see a thing. But hello! Here you have a handy torch with some great batteries to match to lighten your way through the night.
Cameras/Video Recorders
Capturing those special moments wouldn’t be possible without the battery. Imagine all those pictures and videos you would’ve missed out on if the battery wasn’t invented.

Without this gadget we would really be lost. Nowadays we can use it for text, email, phone calls, alarms, calendars, address books. In fact it is a mini diary for all our personal and business use. However without the battery the mobile phone would be nonexistent and you would have to spend your nights trying to have private conversations on the landline phone situated in the hall: where everyone can listen in!
